Agilent N5230A PNA-L Upgrade Kits

• The cost of installation, adjustments, calibration (if necessary), and return shipping is included in the price of all upgrade kits. Customers are responsible for incoming shipping charges. No price discounts are provided for customers performing their own work.
• Upgrades are ordered using the PNA model number followed by a "U" as shown in the product number column below.
• When Agilent will be performing the hardware upgrade, the customer should take delivery of the upgrade kit, contact Agilent for an RMA and shipping instructions, then send in the kit and the PNA as instructed.
• Upgrade kits listed as installed by customers consist of only a license. No adjustments or calibration are required.
• The parts in our upgrade kits come with a 90-day warranty against any manufacturing defect. The warranty period of the instrument into which they are installed is not affected.

Model Change Note:
Please note that existing software licenses are no longer valid when the model number is changed. Please contact the Component Test Division to have new software licenses issued.

Frequency Range Upgrade Note:
We offer frequency range upgrade kits to change a 2-port 6 GHz PNA-L to 13.5 GHz (option 960), a 2-port 20 GHz PNA-L to 40 GHz (option 971/973), and a 2-port 40 GHz PNA-L to 50 GHz (option 990). However, we do not offer a 2-port 13.5 GHz to 20 GHz upgrade kit. This is because the 6 and 13.5 GHz PNA-L was designed with a set of hardware which is very different than that in the 20 GHz PNA-L. To change the frequency range would require replacing about $25,000 worth of hardware. It is much more cost-effective to trade in your 13.5 GHz PNA-L toward the purchase of a new 20 GHz PNA-L. If you are still interested in pursuing this upgrade path, please contact the Component Test Division.
