Don't spin the center conductor when making connections.

When connecting calibration standards or cables to the test ports of a network analyzer, try to prevent the connector's center conductor from turning. You should hold the body of the connector steady while turning the outer nut. The gold plating on these tiny parts is rather thin, and it can wear away after many connections if the pin spins while the connection is made.
